How skincare products reduce pores

First, I want to say what other people always say: pores can differ due to genetics. But skincare products can shrink pores, but not too much. The skincare products always contain active ingredients that can reduce pores, clean the appearance, and reduce oil production. Just remember that your pores can’t be eliminated, and they are vital for the skin.

1. Products with retinols/tretinoin

This active ingredient is the gold standard for anti-ageing. They are forms of vitamin A; they can unclog pores, reduce them or prevent them from getting larger and produce collagen.

2. Products with niacinamide

I have researched, formulated and used niacinamide, and trust me when I say this – it regulates oil production too. It reduces pores and strengthens skin barriers. I will be writing very soon about all the active ingredients I have researched and formulated on and writing about their benefits and also their drawbacks. You can read more on other active ingredients.

3. Products with green tea extracts

Green tea contains astringent which can tighten pores.

4. Products with peptides

They are small chains of amino acids. They tighten pores and produce collagen.

These are just the few listed, but there are more active ingredients that reduce pores.
